Your Cat Is Having Problems With Access To The Litter Box.

  • Your Cat Is Having Problems With Access To The Litter Box.

As you know, a litter box is really just an open space with some litter in it. But if your cat is too big or too small to fit into the litter box and get comfortable, then they might avoid it completely! If your cat can’t turn around easily in the litter box, he may choose to poop outside of it rather than go inside. Sometimes we put our cats in smaller cages than their bodies need so that we can control where they go, but this might lead them to feel frustrated and unhappy when they want out of their cage but can’t get out because there’s no room for them inside the bigger one we put them in!

  • They Think That The Litter Box Smells Awful And Avoid It Completely Instead Of Just Pooping Outside Of It.

Your cat’s sense of smell is very sensitive compared to ours; therefore, some cats may not like what’s going on inside (or around) their usual spot(s). In addition – because they don’t wear shoes – they walk through whatever smells are there before even entering their bathroom area (the kitchen).

Your Cat Does Not Like The Location Of Its Litter Box.

Your cat may not like the location of its litter box. Cats prefer quiet, private areas—like under beds or behind furniture. If you have a multi-cat household and your cat can see other cats in the house from their litter box, they may not feel as secure going there. Plus, if other cats are using it as well, they may be intimidated by the smell or feel that someone else is already in there.

Plus, cats like to be able to see their environment when they take care of business: they want to make sure no one is sneaking up on them! They also like being able to see their owners so they know where you are at all times (in case something happens).

Finally, some cats don’t like having a door directly outside the bathroom because then people can come through it while they’re doing their business—which would be embarrassing!

8) Stress May Be Causing Your Cat To Poop Outside Its Litter Box.

You Have More Than One Cat And They Are Fighting Over The Litter Box.

There are many reasons your cat may be pooing outside its litter box so look for a pattern and then try to correct it with the above suggestions.

If you have more than one cat and they are fighting over the litter box, then consider getting another one or two. This will ensure that your cats each have their own space as well as allow them to use it without being interrupted by another feline friend. If your cat has been pooing outside its litter box due to stress, try giving it a different type of bedding such as fleece instead of an old towel or blanket which may smell like other animals or even people who used them before you did!
