Why Do Cats Follow You Into The Bathroom

Have you ever walked into the bathroom to find your cat waiting for you? It’s a common occurrence, but it can seem bizarre if you don’t know why they do it. I’ve been asking the internet about this and there seems to be some disagreement on the subject: Some say that cats like to play with their owners; others say they’re just curious and want to see what’s going on in there. The answer might be both of these things, but here are some reasons why my cats follow me into the bathroom:

Cats are curious animals

When you walk into the bathroom, your cat may follow you because she’s curious. She wants to know what you’re doing in there. Cats are natural hunters and they want to explore new spaces in order to find prey.

The reason why cats don’t just jump right into the bathtub with you is because they enjoy being able to see everything that’s going on around them. They also like being able to escape before being seen by predators who might eat them! If a cat jumps into your bathtub, the splash could startle her enough for her to jump back out again quickly and run for cover or hide under the sink until it’s safe again (or until she thinks of another plan).

They want to play with you

  • They want to play with you.
  • They want to be with you.
  • They want to be involved in what you’re doing.
  • They want to be near you.

They want to sit on the floor

If your cat follows you into the bathroom, they may want to sit on the floor. Cats are natural-born floor-sitters. For example, consider the following scenarios:

  • You’re relaxing in a chair and your cat comes over to lie down next to you. (Unless it’s a really small chair.)
  • You have just woken up from a nap and are lying on your bed with your feet hanging off of one side of it. Your cat jumps up on top of you so that she can lie beside you without being crushed by all of the blankets covering her body.
  • You open up an online window shopping website that sells beds for dogs and cats because there is nothing better than researching prices before buying something expensive like this but also why waste time when there are more important things to do like getting back into bed because OMG someone bought another pair of shoes!?

They could be worried about you

Your cat may be a sensitive animal and be able to sense when you are under stress. If the cat sees you upset or stressed, he/she will instinctively want to help. A good way for a cat to make his human feel better is by grooming him/her. The other way would be by getting your attention, as they know that humans love spending time with their pets. Cats are very social animals and they crave companionship so much so that if we don’t give it to them in the form of affection and petting, they will go out there and find it from another source such as following us into the bathroom!

Cats are also very intelligent animals who understand what goes on around them; therefore, if something happens that is beyond our control (like seeing someone die), cats know how important it is for us not only as individuals but also as part of society – meaning family members! This is why our feline friends are there for us when we need them most – even if this means following us into

the bathroom…

There are a number of reasons why your cat might follow you into the bathroom.

  • Curiosity. A lot of cats are very curious animals and like to explore new places and objects. Even if they’ve already been in there before, it’s likely that they’ll want to check out what’s going on this time around. This behavior is especially common if you’ve just got a new baby or pet in the house, since those things can be pretty exciting for a cat!
  • Playfulness. Cats are playful by nature and love spending time with their owners—and sometimes what better way is there than joining them in an activity like showering? If your kitty has been cooped up all day without much human interaction (or even worse: if he hasn’t had any), then this could be his way of getting some attention from you!
  • Territory marking or anxiety over something unfamiliar (your partner). A lot of people believe that cats mark territory when they urinate by sticking their rear ends up in the air as though they’re trying to show dominance over that area—so if your feline friend does this while following you into the bathroom, it might be because she wants her scent everywhere so no one else will come near where she lives (for example). Or maybe she’s worried about how long it takes humans.

It’s important to remember that cats are creatures of habit and they like their routine. If you walk into the bathroom every night at the same time, then your cat might want to follow you into there because they want to be with you. Cats are also curious by nature so if something is different in their home then they will want to investigate it! If your cat chooses not to follow you into the bathroom then don’t worry too much about it, as long as they are happy with their own routine then everything should be fine in your household!
